Works for Me Wednesday -- Keeping cookies fresh
Everyone of you may do this, but just in case someone is having trouble keeping their newly baked cookies fresh for more than one day, here is my tip.
After you have baked cookies (and possibly other baked goods, I have just never tried it for anything but cookies) and everyone has devoured all that they wish, place a piece of bread in the container you store the cookies in. The bread will work to keep the cookies soft and fresh instead of hard and stale.
This bread works for about 5 days in keeping the cookies soft (at least that's the longest cookies have stuck around in my house and that is with some major self-control).
I am not positive on how this works, but I promise it works! I do it all the time. I never store cookies without a piece of bread. This works for me! For more Works for Me Wednesday Tips go visit Shannon at Rocks in my Dryer.

I've heard of doing that to keep brown sugar soft. So, I guess it makes sense that it works for other things, like cookies too. Thanks for sharing this tip.
Sadly, cookies don't stay around in my house long enough to go stale ;-).
Good tip though.
We never have left over cookies - but if we ever do, we'll try this! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for providing such a valuable information and thanks for sharing this matter.
