Works for Me Wednesday -- Children's Books

If you are a regular reader of my blog you know that my son loves to read. Recently we discovered one of the cutest children's books, Llama Llama Red Pajama.

The concept of this book is about a "baby llama" who is frightened that his "mama llama" is gone after he goes to bed. He yells for his mama and she does not immediately come to his bedroom to check on him and this causes him to panic.

The book is extremely cute and has fun rhymes such as "llama drama."

The author has recently released a second book about baby llama, Llama Llama Mad at Mama, which is a lesson in behaving while shopping with your mama.

We plan on getting that book soon.

Thanks for visiting the Reading Rainbow corner and feel free to visit Shannon for more Works for Me Wednesday tips!

We LOVE Llama Pajama, as Madison calls it. This is one we read almost daily.

Sounds like a great book!

I just discovered that thrift stores are an EXCELLENT source of cheap kids books!! I just scored 12 Dr. Seuss books, all in excellent condition, for a grand total of $2.25.
